A fire that broke out in a Northeast Heights paint spraying workshop Tuesday afternoon likely occurred while a crew was working on overhead sprinklers.

The fire burned the inside of an outbuilding at 3900 Bogan NE that is sometimes used by New Mexico School Products Co. for paint spraying.

A paint spraying machine was lost in the fire, but the company's inventory was not damaged, contrary to earlier fire reports, said Pamela Moore, of New Mexico School Products, which manufactures school furniture. …
