Royals Rip Hosts For Season-High 17 Runs

The Albuquerque Isotopes got consistency in their pitching Monday night -- and it was all bad.

Albuquerque used five pitchers, and all five got knocked around as the Omaha Royals rocked the 'Topes 17-9 in front of a crowd of 4,951 at Isotopes Park.

The game took 3 hours and 50 minutes to complete, making it the longest nine-inning game of the Isotopes' inaugural season.

The 17 runs scored by the opposition were also a season high for the Isotopes, as were the nine walks issued by Albuquerque pitchers. Of Omaha's 17 runs, 15 were earned.
