METAIRIE, La. -- Aaron Small and Mike Judd combined on a four-hitter Saturday night as Albuquerque held off New Orleans 3-2 in Pacific Coast League baseball.

Small (1-1) pitched 8 1/3 innings, striking out two, walking none and allowing both Zephyrs runs as well as all four hits.

After New Orleans had closed to 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth, Judd got the final two outs as the Isotopes improved their record to 39-43.

The Eastern Division-leading Zephyrs fell to 48-34 and lost for the second time in three games to Albuquerque.

Jared Fernandez (5-7) went the distance for New Orleans, giving up six hits, no earned runs and a walk and striking out two. …
