MEXICO CITY -- President George W. Bush was the only currently serving U.S. elected official allowed to land on Mexico's presidential airstrip.

That is, until Gov. Bill Richardson flew into President Vicente Fox's hangar last week.

Call it prestige or call it politics, the fact that Richardson got to use the coveted high-ranking cement is just one testament to his connections here.
