* Burlington Northern-Santa Fe officials will meet with Sandia Pueblo governor

A railroad crossing on the Sandia reservation where two teens were hit and killed in March by an Amtrak train will stay open pending talks with the pueblo's governor, a railroad official said.

Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad had said it would close the North Farm Road crossing by today. The crossing does not have signals or a guard rail; it has stop signs.

Lena Kent, spokeswoman for Burlington Northern-Santa Fe, said Thursday that company representatives will meet with Sandia Pueblo Gov. Stuwart Paisano the first week of July.

"We want to find out the governor's concerns and why there is a need for the crossing," Kent said. …
