* While others drove by, vacationing cop stopped to help woman, teen in SUV that flipped in Arizona

Rain was falling hard. Tanya Haines' red Kia SUV had just hydroplaned along Interstate 40 west of Holbrook, Ariz., and slammed into a concrete guard rail.

The SUV landed on its passenger side, blocking the left lane. As one after another car inched past Haines and her 14-year-old granddaughter, both trapped inside, Haines feared her cries for help would never be answered.

She was wrong. Chad Morgan, an Albuquerque police officer on vacation with his wife and daughter, stopped, pulled Haines' granddaughter to safety, had his wife call 911 and stayed with Haines for nearly an hour until rescuers arrived. …
