A federal court jury on Monday rejected excessive force and selective prosecution claims by two women arrested after hours at a city park by Albuquerque Police Department officer Tom Sholtis.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Leslie Smith had previously dismissed unlawful arrest charges included in the civil rights complaint filed by Deena Tanberg, a stay-at-home mom married to an FBI agent, and Valerie Ortega, a hospital nurse.
