'Topes on Verge of Their 4th Straight Home Loss

The refuge that home once meant for the Albuquerque Isotopes was trashed again Monday night by the Edmonton Trappers, who took their third straight Pacific Coast League win at "the Lab," 7-4.

A recurring beat Monday was that the Isotopes couldn't get Trappers first baseman Luis Ortiz out.

A 12-year veteran in pro ball with a .228 average in 145 major league at-bats, Ortiz cracked his fourth homer of the series in a 2-for-3 outing that included two walks. He is now 9 for 13 against the 'Topes.

Monday's game was different in that the hosts matched the Trappers with 11 hits. …
