Q: My 5-year-old female cat began having seizures in January. The vet ran several tests and x-rays and could find nothing wrong with her. He put her on phenobarbital and told me to increase it in the morning and at night. She was completely out of it. She cannot pee; she has to have her bladder squeezed. She is still hospitalized. The vet called me to tell me that she had a seizure and her temperature skyrocketed. He gave her something for the fever, plus Valium and phenobarbital. He is stumped as to what is going on (aside from a brain tumor or FIP). I recently lost my mom and my sister-in-law and I can't lose my pet, too. …
