A man whose property is the subject of an Albuquerque nuisance abatement lawsuit found himself under arrest and answering questions in court Friday about alleged threats to a judge.

Mistee Gardner Thomson, who uses a copyright symbol after his name, was arrested on a bench warrant after failing to show for at least two hearings and for making statements to Judge Geraldine Rivera's secretary that were seen as threatening.

Thomson was in court on a civil contempt hearing before Robert Thompson, presiding judge in the Bernalillo County District Court's civil division. The judge said he would take the contempt matter under advisement but told Thomson he would have to pay the city attorney's office $500 for wasting everyone's time. …
