Player quadruples pleasure in group.(Venue)

By day Ed Ulman is an administrator. He's executive director of the New Mexico Jazz Workshop. By night -- some nights, anyway -- Ulman is a musician. He leads and plays trombone with the Albuquerque Latin Jazz Orchestra.

And on Monday he will play trombone with a quartet for one set of the opening Summer Monday Night Jazz series at the Outpost Performance Space.

"We put the group together for a casual at a casino. Casual? That's where you play for people who don't listen to you," Ulman said.

The ensemble consists of Ulman, Glenn Kostur on tenor saxophone, Stu MacAskie on Hammond B3 organ and Arnaldo Acosta on drums. …
