Over the last 10 years, the Buckaroo Ball, Santa Fe's famed street party for charity, has raised almost $5 million for at-risk youth and children's programs in Santa Fe County.

This year's ball, dubbed "A Decade of Denim & Diamonds," was a three-day extravaganza celebrating the fund-raiser's 10th anniversary.

Held on the set of a Wild West movie town and featuring a concert by country blues star Delbert McClinton -- as well as a big-ticket live auction of luxury cars, art and gorgeous jewelry -- the Buckaroo Ball was New Mexico's biggest and most lavish party of the year.

Organizers say last weekend's gala netted about $700,000 and sold out, with more than 900 guests who paid at least $685 per person to attend. …
