Murder Charge Dropped.(Journal North)

A Santa Fe district judge ruled Tuesday that there is not probable cause to support a murder charge against a teen who shot and killed a 16-year-old during a Mother's Day brawl between two groups of teens outside a Santa Fe apartment complex.

"I do not find under the evidence that was presented that a murder was committed," Santa Fe District Judge Stephen Pfeffer said.

The brawl started out after a verbal confrontation between the two groups.

The group that included the deceased 16-year-old, Anthony Jaramillo, was at a Mother's Day party at a residence in the 1600 block of Calle de Oriente.

The group that included Phillip Herrera, who shot and killed Jaramillo, was on a balcony of an adjacent apartment complex. …
