Home Depot Told To Pay Attorneys

Home Depot owes the owners of a defunct Santa Fe shutter-making company almost $3 million in attorney fees, a district court judge has ruled.

The judgment follows a case earlier this year in which Santa Fe District Judge Carol Vigil found the home improvement chain had broken an oral contract with Santa Fe Custom Shutters and Doors, Inc., and awarded the local company nearly $12 million in damages.

When the court awarded damages to the former owners of Santa Fe Shutters, Vigil ordered that a supplemental judgment on costs and attorney fees would be entered upon presentation of such issues to the court. …
