Developer Matthew Fetterman customized his first spec house

Because this would be Matthew Fetterman's first spec house, he wanted it to be a little different.

Fetterman, who helped to develop the semi-rural Sandia Mountain Ranch subdivision east of the Sedillo exit off Interstate 40, partnered with Pat Martin Construction to build the house.

"I really wanted to make it special," Fetterman said, "so we added a lot of things."

The 2,677-square-foot house, which sells for $343,500, sits on nearly two acres overlooking the pinon foothills in the East Mountains. …
