Witness Calls Cops to Scene

TAOS -- Police scored a major break Thursday in the town's war against graffiti when somebody spotted a young man spray painting buildings on Paseo del Pueblo Sur. The witness called police, who arrived at the scene before he got away.

"We are very fortunate that we were in the right place at the right time," said Taos Police Chief Neil Curran. "Graffiti crimes are frustrating because the perpetrators usually take off before we can even get to the scene."
