Assistants To Be Based in Santa Fe

SANTA FE -- State utility regulators on Tuesday continued to debate the issue of staffing district offices.

Public Regulation Commission members voted 3-2 to change the title of a recently approved resolution and add language that makes it clear that commissioners' assistants are to be based in Santa Fe.

Tuesday's resolution carried the title "Establishing Terms and Conditions for Commissioner Alternative Offices." The title of the original resolution passed May 6 was "Approving the Establishment of Commissioner Alternative Offices."

The amended resolution says "No PRC employee, contractor or commissioner assistant will be assigned to an alternative office. …
