Isotopes Score Quickly to End Road Drought.(Final)

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Albuquerque Isotopes finally won a road game Monday night, and they did it quickly by scoring seven runs in the first inning.

The Isotopes beat the Fresno Grizzlies 13-5 in a Pacific Coast League baseball game.

Albuquerque had four home runs. In the first inning, the 'Topes had a three-run shot by Rob Stratton and a two-run homer by Matt Erickson, his first of the season.

The Isotopes had won only two of their last 10 road games before Monday. They had been shut out in five of those games, including a 5-0 loss on Sunday.

But Albuquerque came up with 14 hits against the Grizzlies and got help from two Fresno errors. …
