Bob Taylor, a former New Mexico Tech regent, was an internationally recognized scholar and leader in the field of work-force preparation.
Taylor, a Silver City resident since 1986, died Wednesday of cancer. He was 75.
A service was held Monday at Baca's Funeral Chapels in Silver City. Burial followed with military honors at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
Taylor had an outgoing, fun-loving personality, said Randy Horn, who served with Taylor on the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology Board of Regents. Gov. Gary Johnson appointed Taylor to a five-year term as a regent in 1998.
