Lab's Cerro Grande project official honored.(Business Outlook)

Stephen F. Mee, who helped direct the Cerro Grande rehabilitation project at Los Alamos National Laboratory, has been named the National Minority Small Business Advocate of the Year.

The Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration selected Mee for identifying a Native American small business that could take part in the repair of an area damaged by the Cerro Grande fire, the agency said in a news release.

"Stephen Mee doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk," said Thomas M. Sullivan, chief counsel for Advocacy. "He made sure that the community received the training it needed. And, he did all this with respect for Pueblo spiritual ways and culture. …
