Master quilter leads creative-healing arts workshops that feed the spirit

Step into Shari Adkisson's downtown studio, and the walls tell the tale of the healing power of the arts.

Quilts of many visions and many cultures hang from the walls, in traditional patchwork and Oriental styles. The studio has a warm, homespun feel, is eclectic in style and rich with color.

This studio on Central and Edith is where Adkisson, a master quilter and fiber artist, leads a creative healing arts curriculum called The Creativity Continuum. She calls it, quite simply, her dream job.
