Pintos baseball losing a lot of seniors, but coach doesn't believe next year will just be spent rebuilding

Blue about blue. That pretty much sums up the feelings of the Moriarty High baseball team after coming up short in the recent Class 4A state championship baseball game.

"These kids worked so hard for so long," said Moriarty High coach Michael Chavez. "It's sad they didn't get the blue trophy."

Arch-rival St. Pius, instead took home the big, blue championship trophy after defeating the Pintos 8-3 at Ricketts Park in Farmington on May 17.
