Lorena Galindo lost more than $2,000 after two robbers walked into her North Valley hair salon in broad daylight last week. But that wasn't the worst of it, she said.

For the past week, she's been worried about how the robbery could affect her plans to become a U.S. citizen.

"I don't care about my money," she said. "I care about my papers."

The 38-year-old mother of one is set for a citizenship interview today before the Immigration and Naturalization Service, she said. But snatched during the robbery were important papers, including her INS resident card and Social Security card. …
