Humorous reflections on Santa Fe's culinary dishes and a showcase of northern New Mexico's rich musical heritage are two diverse programs being presented at the Lensic Performing Arts Center this week.

Calvin Trillin, a columnist for The New Yorker and a regular contributor to The Nation and Time magazine, reads from his new Random House book, "Feeding a Yen: Savoring Local Specialties From Kansas City to Cuzco," on Tuesday. The book is a collection of previously published essays that the New York Times describes in a review May 4 as "the most gracious indictment of the homogenizing of American culture you'll ever read. …
