* Santa Fe exhibit to touch on each decade of artist's long career

Forty-seven years after the first exhibition of her work, Janet Lippincott is displaying her abstract oil and acrylic paintings, monoprints and watercolors in a special show at the Karan Ruhlen Gallery in Santa Fe through May 26. The show includes work from each decade in the 85-year-old artist's career.

"The colors in her work went from neutral to very colorful during the 1960s," explains Ruhlen. "Janet created many very large, colorful oil paintings and three-dimensional collage pieces in the 1970s. Words were written on some of the paintings. …
