* Harley riders at Red River event are mostly middle-age professionals having some fun

RED RIVER -- Woody Woodruff started this whole Harley thing when he had a midlife crisis a few years ago.

He bought a black motorcycle, a Harley-Davidson Road King, and talked his buddies into doing the same for about $25,000 apiece.

Woodruff, of Woodward, Okla., is hardly an outlaw. He's a contractor in the oil business, and his pals Bryan and Joe Smith are respectable citizens, too.

"They had a joint midlife crisis," Joe's wife, Jamie Smith, explained.

People like Woodruff, the Smith brothers and their wives represent the majority of the estimated 15,000 people who came to the Red River Motorcycle Rally this weekend. …
