Romero Says Job Unfinished

SANTA FE -- Senate President Pro Tem Richard Romero, D-Albuquerque, said Friday he might push to reopen congressional redistricting -- to benefit Democrats -- in New Mexico's upcoming special session this fall.

"We didn't do our job," Romero said in an interview. "The governor (former Gov. Gary Johnson, a Republican) vetoed our (redistricting) plan and it went to the court and the court did our work. ... If we haven't done our job, we should."
