* Former judge sustains new singing career with just-released CD

Former Judge Diane Dal Santo's new CD "Side Bar Jazz" is the realization of a long-held dream.

Featuring her vocals and the musical and production talents of swingmeister Phil Lenk, the CD is a collection of jazz and blues piano bar classics.

Launched just before the Sept. 11, 2001, tragedies, the CD was nearly two years in the making.

"It was something I had in me that I've always wanted to do, like a writer wants to write a book," Dal Santo said in the living room of her elegantly appointed Southeast Heights home.

Dal Santo said now that the CD has been released at several locations in Albuquerque, she may step up her occasional vocal performances as a part-time chanteuse at the Hilton Inn's Rancher's Club, where Lenk is the featured pianist. …
