Gas Station Plan Moves Forward.(Mountain View)

The Tijeras Village Council told the developers of a travel center in the village at the council's regular meeting Monday to move forward with their plans, while expressing reservations about a second plan for a gas station and convenience store.

The council voted 5-0 to give preliminary approval to a travel center being planned by Peggy Pohl on N.M. 337 less than a mile south of old Route 66. The preliminary approval means Pohl can move forward with developing a site plan, which must be approved by the village's planning and zoning commission. The travel center plans include a gasoline station, fast food restaurant and beauty salon. …
