APS Construction Funds Approved.(Final)



The Albuquerque school board approved Wednesday $6.3 million for new elementary school buildings, including Manzano Mesa Elementary in the Southeast Heights.

Voters in February approved $70 million in general obligation bonds for new construction after rejecting a similar proposal last year.

The board awarded a $3.1 million contract to Samcon Inc. for Manzano Mesa's core facility and a child development center. A $3.2 million contract was awarded to Famco Inc. for Seven Bar Elementary's second phase, which includes two classrooms and a multipurpose building. …
