Christine Lovelace Sellman

Christine Lovelace Sellman, daughter of the late NASA director of space medicine and co-founder of Lovelace Medical Center, has died in Santa Monica, Calif.

Sellman died Sunday after battling cancer for several years. Her family was with her, said her husband, Dr. John Sellman, an orthopedic surgeon. She was 64.

"She was a very friendly, loving person," her husband said Tuesday. "People liked her. She was a good listener. She had good friends."

Her father was Dr. W. Randolph "Randy" Lovelace II, known worldwide for his work in space medicine for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. …
