The rich just got richer in Mountain West Conference football circles. Or is it richerer?

Or envy.

Last week, a Fort Collins, Colo.-based private philanthropic group called the Bohemian Foundation plunked down a tidy $15.2 million at the feet of Colorado State and coach Sonny Lubick.

As a bonus, the playing surface at CSU's Hughes Stadium now officially will be known as Sonny Lubick Field.

"I thought they waited until you died to do that," Lubick told the Colorado media.

Died and gone to heaven, maybe.

Actually, to call Colorado State a rich football program requires a narrow definition of the term. …
