Lawyer Wants Lid On Stroup Evidence

An attorney for Kevin Jensen, the lead suspect in the killing of a 15-year-old Moriarty boy, asked a judge Friday to suppress evidence.

Jensen, 42, is the lead suspect in the killing of Robbie Stroup. Prosecutors had charged Jensen with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of child endangerment during the initial stages of the murder investigation.

No murder charges have been filed against Jensen.

Jensen's trial on the delinquency and child endangerment charges is scheduled June 9.

At a pretrial hearing Friday, Jensen's attorney, Jeff Rein, presented a motion asking the judge to suppress statements Jensen made to investigators, saying Jensen "was not properly advised of his Constitutional right to remain silent. …
