At-Risk Schools Get First Priority

Sixteen Albuquerque schools will offer new full-day kindergarten programs next fall, the state Department of Education announced Friday.

The schools were among 78 named in 33 districts Friday in the fourth of a five-year phase-in. Statewide and in APS, 80 percent of the schools will have full-day kindergarten programs.

The Albuquerque elementaries named Friday are: A. Montoya, Acoma, Arroyo del Oso, Bandelier, Chelwood, Comanche, Edmund G. Ross, Governor Bent, Inez, Matheson Park, Mitchell, Monte Vista, Onate, Osuna, Sombra del Monte and Zuni.
