Jury Verdict Incomplete in Rapper Case.(Final)

Three days of deliberation yielded an incomplete verdict Wednesday for Darrold Morris, a 36-year-old aspiring rap artist and suspected head of a drug ring.

The jury found Morris guilty of racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering and conspiracy to distribute marijuana in a network that reached east as far as Atlanta and west to Phoenix.

But jurors also cleared him of three charges, including distributing marijuana and two separate counts of cocaine trafficking.

The jury hung on the remaining five counts, and Bernalillo County District Judge Richard Knowles declared a mistrial with regard to those. Sentencing was set at 1:30 p. …
