West Side Center Set for All Ages.(Final)



Senior citizens and high school students hanging out in the same place may seem far-fetched, but that's the concept behind a multigenerational community center on the West Side.

Mayor Martin Chavez was at the site of the $5.88 million, 21,000-square-foot center Tuesday for the official groundbreaking ceremony.

The Taylor Ranch Multigenerational Center will be on the corner of Kachina and Golf Course Road, near the Mariposa Basin Park.

The center will have a computer lab, a meeting space, classrooms, a fitness area, an arts and crafts room, a game room, a social hall and kitchen. …
