Drunken Driver Gets More Than the Max for 3 Deaths.(Final)

Jayson Wentz's baby daughter had her first taste of fry bread and mutton stew hours before she along with her mother and sister was killed in a head-on collision with a drunken driver in July on the Navajo Reservation.

The driver, Sijifredo Rodriguez Gandara, was sentenced Tuesday to nine years and four months in federal prison. The normal federal sentencing guidelines provide for a maximum of six years.

Rodriguez Gandara, 25, a Mexican national on his way from Denver to Arizona to see his estranged girlfriend and their child, had consumed between 20 and 30 beers before his pickup plowed into the Wentz' Chevrolet Lumina. …
