Rio Rancho's Barb Thacker is at it again. She's written her third and, she promises, her last travel book. This latest one carries the humorously quirky title "Since I Don't Know Where I'm Going, I'm Never Lost."

Thacker dedicates the book to her dog, Ink. "... the best travel companion one could imagine, who journeyed with me for 26 months and 31,000 miles, and loved every crazy minute." (May 9, 1987-May 18, 2000)

In the book, Thacker quotes British poet Percy Bysshe Shelley on the subject of escape: "Away, away from the men and towns/ Away to the wild woods and the downs:/ To the silent wilderness/ Where the soul need not repress/ Its music. …
