Jordan Adams keeps working for her UNM degree as well as a career in the WNBA

Former University of New Mexico women's basketball star Jordan Adams dreams of double-doubles in her future. But doubles figures in points and rebounds aside, she actually has been pulling double duty since arriving in Minneapolis on May 1.

The 6-foot, 3-inch Adams, picked 18th in this year's WNBA draft, is trying to secure a roster spot with the Minnesota Lynx. She's also trying to finish her final semester of college.

Adams, who by the end of the month will be only one hour short of her degree, has been finishing finals via e-mail.

"When I'm not practicing, I'm trying to get my homework done," Adams says. "I'm writing a couple of papers here and e-mailing them back to my teachers. …
