Bush To Talk Jobs On Visit To City.(Final)

President Bush will push his tax cut and job creation plans in Albuquerque on Monday after spending a private weekend in Santa Fe, the White House and New Mexico officials said Wednesday.

Details about the president's stay in Santa Fe were kept secret by the White House, including where he would stay and who, if anyone, might join him.

The president and his wife have friends and associates with homes in northern New Mexico, including Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

The Monday events in Albuquerque were the only public events scheduled for the president. But first lady Laura Bush was scheduled to visit the Navajo Reservation in Arizona today to promote childhood literacy programs and planned to attend a children's dance performance Friday night in Santa Fe at the National Dance Institute of New Mexico. …
