TUCSON Tucson leadoff hitter Matt Kata knocked in four runs, including a two-run triple in a six-run second inning as the Sidewinders blasted the Albuquerque Isotopes 11-1 on Tuesday night in Pacific Coast League baseball.

Steve Neal and Brian Gordon homered for Tucson, which pounded 16 hits in front of 2,381 fans at Tucson Electric Park.

Kata also hit a two-run homer in the fourth off 'Topes starter Clint Sodowsky (0-2).

Sodowsky gave up nine runs all earned on 13 hits in five innings, leaving Albuquerque with a 9-1 deficit.

Doug DeVore singled with two out in the second inning to jump-start Sidewinders' offense. …
