Funds Allocated Among 32 Schools Dollars for districts

SANTA FE Thirty-two public schools in 10 school districts across the state will share $6.7 million in federal funds for reading programs for students in kindergarten through third grade.

The money is part of an $8.4 million grant that the state received last year, including $1.7 million to provide technical assistance and professional development for the New Mexico Reading First program.

The following Albuquerque elementary schools will share the APS award: Alamosa, Atrisco, Dolores Gonzales, Duranes, Hodgin, La Mesa, Tomasita and Whittier.
