14 students awarded Lang journalism scholarships.(Final)

Fourteen students who intend to pursue a career in print journalism will be awarded $19,000 from the C.T. Lang Publishers Journalism Scholarship program.

Two are high school seniors, six are previous high school recipients who are now attending college, five are first-time college student recipients, and one is a minority scholarship/internship award winner.

The C.T. Lang Publishers Journalism Scholarships are named in memory of C. Thompson Lang, publisher of the Albuquerque Journal from 1956-1971 and father of current publisher T.H. Lang.

A panel of Journal editors reviewed student transcripts, letters of recommendation and writing samples to select the scholarship recipients. …
