It was like any other morning. Molly Elizabeth Espinoza, a healthy, athletic 17-year-old, had just gotten out of bed and was getting a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

But then, without warning, she collapsed to the kitchen floor.

The Manzano High School senior died April 24 of a pulmonary embolism, a fatal blood clot in her lungs. For any parent, it would be a nightmare come true.
