Summit looks at micro tech.(Business Outlook)

The third Annual Iberoamerican Research and Development Summit, this year focusing on advanced manufacturing and micro technologies, will be May 28-29 at the Sheraton Old Town Hotel.

Dennis Swyt, head of precision engineering with the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and small-technology expert Job Elders will be at the summit, which hopes to create opportunities for international business development.

Asad M. Madni, president and COO of BEI Technologies Inc., will speak on the commercialization of a micro-machined sensor technology.

Admission ranges from $100 for students to $500 for large companies. …
