This time, the problem was the hitting.

The Albuquerque Isotopes, with the worst pitching in the Pacific Coast League, finally got some good production on the mound Friday night.

As a team that can do whatever it takes to lose, the 'Topes didn't support the good pitching. They stopped hitting and lost their third game in a row.

The Salt Lake Stingers scored twice in the seventh inning to beat Albuquerque 2-1 at Isotopes Park in front of a crowd of 8,195.

The 'Topes had only five base hits and were their own worst enemy by hitting into four double plays. …
