The Highland High School boys track and field team is looking for an antidote.

The Hornets, since the school was built in the late 1940s, have been perennial powers. But the last few years, they've been snakebitten by injuries.

"For the most part, we've been able to come back and win some relays," 20th-year Highland coach Gary Sanchez says. "And last year, (at the city meet) Ryan Peele won the 100(-meter dash)."

This weekend's All-City Track and Field Meet could be the first stage in the Hornets' recovery.

Highland before La Cueva's current string of seven straight city titles won it consecutively in 1994 and '95. …
