Bombardier to cut 3,000 more workers. (Regional News).(Bombardier Aerospace )(Brief Article)

Bombardier Aerospace is reducing its workforce by another 3,000 employees as it contends with the slump in orders for corporate and regional jet and turboprop aircraft. Last September the company said it would eliminate 1,980 positions. It also slowed and in some cases temporarily suspended production of its turboprop and business jet lines. The new job cuts will take place over the next 12 months at facilities in Montreal, Toronto and Belfast.

Bombardier Aerospace President and COO Pierre Beaudoin stated that the new layoffs are in response to what he called "challenging market conditions." He said the company will continue to invest in customer service and support and try to align production rates with market demand. …
