FAA weighs in on Beech 1900 inspections. (Regional News).(Brief Article)

FAA issued an emergency airworthiness directive calling for operators of Beech 1900, 1900C and 1900D aircraft to inspect the elevator control systems on the 19-seat turboprops.

The agency said the inspections are necessary because "recent ground testing and a review of the rigging procedures of the Beech 1900D reveal that the elevator control system could be misrigged to restrict movement if current maintenance procedures are not properly followed. In these instances, it may appear to the crew that they have full elevator control movement. …
