Airbus claims 57% share of 2002 orders. (News Briefs).(Brief Article)

Airbus said it booked gross orders for 300 aircraft worth $24.3 billion last year and net orders after cancellations for 233 aircraft worth $18.4 billion. Boeing booked gross orders for 251 aircraft and netted 176, giving Airbus a 57% share of the market in terms of units and a claimed 54% share in value.

New firm orders from Airbus comprised 235 A320 family aircraft, 55 A330s/A340s and 10 A380s. …
